Mountainaire has done direct to consumer sales in NC already. So has Wayne Farms.

But the company doing the most of that by far here is House of Raeford. I am guessing that they have bulk sold over 100 tractor trailer loads direct to consumers in NC and SC and some in other states since early April. And they are continuing to do so. They have a schedule of locations and times on their website and their Facebook page.

Perdue is doing that in Salisbury , MD as well, QuietButDeadly, good stuff.

Crazy mess we’re experiencing, caught everyone off guard - poultry producers and processing plants included. Next problem we will face is lack of incentive for the workers to go back to work! A lot of workers that are laid off are making more on unemployment than they would on the job. Big adjustment to be made when industry gets up and rolling again. Time will tell I guess!

One of the big poultry producers in Manitoba just donated a semi load to the food bank, it just fit into their coolers.

One of the local French fry factory has it if you come in with 10 food grade pallets, they will load a lift of French fries ready for the deep fryer, they are all in 25 pound bags frozen. There is a expiratory date on them......the restraunts are not going through them enough. There are millions of pounds of tatters still in cold storage.

They are doing the same with pigs here

Likely not as many as you would think. I've tried giving away garden produce to people as long as they picked it and no takers. Too lazy to pick beens, how would you expect them too clean a chicken?

Those greedy corporations with endless inventory of packaging just laying around taking up space should be doing it for free.
