Falsifying a medical document is serious. Some states it is a felony with possible fines up to $250,000 and 5 years.

Maybe the NYC attorney firms should look into expanding into that particular areas of claims , looks like they could find plenty of family members to be plaintiffs.

The only way to know for sure is to do an autopsy with tissue analysis and with 58,000 deaths over the last 50 days it’s going to be months if not years to process all of these. I’m sure there are people making educated guesses but for reimbursement purposes I’d also guess covid-19 was the overall cause that tipped them to death. That’s why many states are saying lots of people who died from covid had underlying medical problems.

I certainly wouldn’t want to be a hospital’s limited pathology department in NYC or Wuhan or Detroit or Baton Rouge or Chicago, etc., when bodies were being toe tagged, bagged and stacked in freezer trucks because there was no morgue space. I don’t fault the medical / public health people for trying their best under the circumstances they’re facing. Anybody who’s ever faced or even studied triage medicine knows what this is about. Mistakes are made. But it isn’t for a lack of trying. Let’s let the doctors, hospital administrators and medical legal people do their jobs and stop harping like armchair quarterbacks.

Nobody has died of pneumonia since covid reared it ugly head.
