I called BS on all of this weeks ago. After all the smoke clears, we will find out that this was no worse than the flu and the economy was destroyed for no reason other than an over reaction. They should have reopened the country after the first two weeks and it would have been nothing more than a bump in the road. Now, the government has devastated it. It will probably take a year or more to get back where we were and if a DemoRat wins in November (the end game of this shutdown) we won't get the economy back for decades if ever. BIG msm question is about as many died from chink virus as we lost in vietnam. ~58000. Normally that many die in US each week. Are total weekly deaths any higher the past two months?

Well, if it’s just like the flu, can’t blame China for it. And, I suppose the WHO can’t be blamed for down-playing on China’s behalf.
My position was and has been the whole COVID thing was to distract from the fact our economy wasn’t doing that well. Based largely on the “not QE” Repo injections that started in September. I don't know, it's debatable. The economy was doing pretty good in most aspects. Unemployment, GDP hitting records, a lot of factories opening and coming back to take advantage of the lower taxes, median income rising, consumer confidence high, stock market was soaring. The economy was in pretty good shape. Not perfect but a darn site better than it had been in decades. It's not all that debatable unless consider interest rate cuts and and the FED printing money beginning in September to add liquidity to the credit market is a sign of a healthy economy

He may be living in the 1990's where economic growth was superior, interest rates were normal, the government did not have to run huge deficets to stimulate the economy, but as long as fake work and QE gets it done, why quibble?

Ive been saying the same thing since it all started, the numbers (even though inflated) didnt add up. I do think we are going to feel this for a lot longer than a year though. they destroyed the economy and some businesses, many small businesses and farms are going to get hurt bad. Whats sad is most people think we can shut down for a couple months then crawl out from under a rock and pick up where we left off. SMH
