Where did you get your plans? I got the plans from Noah’s marine. Not much to the plans. It’s really not that hard of a project. I’m actually not much of a wood worker myself, it just interested me. Thanks for all the comments, it’s exciting to see the canoe take shape after each piece is glued in. Most plans call for stapling the strips on. Stapling them on allows you to move faster, but I knew I would like all the leftover staple holes in the finished product, so instead I’m just using wood glue.

Very nice! What are the ribs made of? Also, what is the expected finished weight? There won’t be any ribs. They say finished weight is around 50lbs

I've always used staples, and you're correct in that it speeds things up considerably. When the hull is completely stripped and you're ready to start sanding, takes a couple of evenings to pill all the staples and jam toothpicks into the thousands of staple holes and break them off. You never see the holes or the "filler".
That's way cool that you started with telephone poles.
Your stripping looks great! They are a fun project. Good on you!
