Good work, looks dry there, not at all what we had here today, rain on and off little to hard all day with winds about 30 mph. one blind loosened up with the rain and I had to reset that one . Had 4 hens cross the field about 9 and 11 two more walked out and crossed, no toms or sounds. Tomorrow AM looks like a repeat of today weather wise.

I had the second week which Started last week Wednesday. Wednesday was a bust with 20+ sustained winds. Went back Saturday and the toms gobbled in the trees but less than they normally do. Half hour after they hit the ground they were gobbling hard. After I shot this one, the toms were still gobbling till 8:00. Walking back to the cabin and had two gobbling. Surprising I didn’t hear a hen all morning

Nice bird! Congrats! I go tomorrow morning. Hope to actually get two as I have an extra tag for this season. So many times I have had the chance to take two but only had one tag. Hope to double after 32 years of turkey hunting.

Thought I was going to be able to hunt Friday too but found out my 2nd Grandson will arrive on that day! Maybe I will be able to take him out with me on Saturday. I can just tuck him into a boot and throw a hat over the top. He'll be just fine.

Noon today I got a 22# tom with 1.25 inch spurs and 9.5 inch beard. I had two hens coming in and out of the woods to the field from 9 until I shot. I heard the gobble the first time at 10:30, he was quite far away. I had been doing some calling every 15 minutes. Four more times he gobbled and was coming closer. Then at 11:30 he was further away. The hens left but came back again at 11:50 . I called one more time and he gobbled 5 minutes later closer.
It took another 10 minutes and he came into the field. It was a long shot but I have 3.5 inch copper #4s which gives me a jolt with the Mossberg but put the gobbler down.
