Gas prices around me here jumped about 30 cents overnight. Anybody else seeing that?

I bought gas on Monday for $1.19 a gallon at a Marathon station in Urbana, Ohio. That's the cheapest I have bought gas for in a very long time. The other area gas stations had gas for $1.40. I have not been off my farm since Monday.

Seems like it sure isn't nationwide. Just our state taking advantage of increased traffic as some our quarantine restrictions loosen up tomorrow and fishing opener on Saturday. Last I heard the Saudis were sending a couple dozen tankers our way and it was going to destroy our prices again.

Futures went negative upon delivery of the May contracts, you’re reaping those benefits. Lol

Filled up yesterday in VA for 1.219. That is the lowest price per gallon I have seen in many, many years. Prior fill up was 1.239.

Maybe they finally cleared out the winter blend stock here in WI and have switched to the summer blend?

The Saudi’s own the biggest refinery in the US. At Port Arthur Texas. Has a 45 million barrel capacity, and the Saudi’s shipped 40 million barrels to it in April. That kept US oil producers from being able to store any of their oil there. That’s according to what I’ve heard. According to Reuters, Trump threatened the Saudi’s with withdrawing US military support if they didn’t stop, but it apparently didn’t work. Of the approximately 600 tankers used by the US over 200 are now full and being used as floating storage. Things aren’t getting better.
