Does any know why you can not carry a loaded pistol or revolver into a gun show?

Because people have a tendency to pull out the weapon and show it or try it on a new holster, and the insurance company will not insure the promoters if they allow it

They try that nonsense here occasionally, I just walk on by...that's an infringement and not to be recognized.

In Texas they ask us to unload and present anything we are peddling or bring in to trade. As far as CC I don't think we even have a duty to declare we have anything on us so obviously it will be loaded

So me CCing with a permission slip (which is certainly debatable if that in itself is an infringement) is going to pull out my weapon and pop off a round is the concern/reason to disarm folks?

Is that a Michigan thing? I'm pretty sure we can all carry no problem at gun shows on this side of the lake. I haven't seen any gun shows in WI that allow anyone to open or conceal carry. You either check them in at the front desk or take them back to your car.

How do the promoters of gun shows that claim the bill of rights has been suspended make any money? Why would any self respecting gun nut even go?

The constitution prevents the government from infringing on keeping and bearing arms. The gun show promoter can make whatever rules he wants. His house, his rules.

I do not ask Hmmm, here in WI we can carry firearms into a gunshow to trade, buy and sell, but no loaded handguns (open and/or conceal carry).

it all depends on the show , there is no law against it and some do not prohibit carry of loaded guns properly holstered
any loaded carried gun must stay as such..a carry gun you can not take out unless lethal force is needed.
watched a cop whip his gun out at a gun show one time to try an new holster. so now you can see why they check guns at the door.
at our club show they find 2-3 loaded guns checking them at the door nearly every show.
a lot of the vendors are carrying.
it is a very safe place really.

I have never once had anyone at the door ask me if I was armed. They do ask us to present anything we are bringing in to swap on and there is one place they always have a huge mason jar full of ammo they removed from "unloaded" fire arms.
Like I say, they have protocols in place and they follow them to a tee but they have never asked me if I was armed. It's Texas, I assume everyone is armed and I would think they do too.
