"the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases, the organization led by Dr. Fauci, funded scientists at the Wuhan Institute of Virology and other institutions for work on gain-of-function research on bat coronaviruses.
In 2019, with the backing of NIAID, the National Institutes of Health committed $3.7 million over six years for research that included some gain-of-function work. The program followed another $3.7 million, 5-year project for collecting and studying bat coronaviruses, which ended in 2019, bringing the total to $7.4 million.

Many scientists have criticized gain of function research, which involves manipulating viruses in the lab to explore their potential for infecting humans, because it creates a risk of starting a pandemic from accidental release."

It would not surprise me. We should fund absolutely no research outside the US, unless that's the only place the needed research can be conducted.

This "gain of function" research anywhere seems crazy. Are we as a species suicidal?

In 2015 the U S and Canada help to finance the renovation of that lab into a viral studies lab.

I agree it seems crazy.

Crazier is that Dr. Fauci hasn’t spoken on the NIH’s hand in a China’s corona virus research. And here we are complaining about gaining access to the Wuhan lab, and how we had no idea the virus was loose in China, and now we need to punish China. crazy Yea right! The funding of the Wuhan lab, by the NIH, has already made headlines,in other than mainstream news sources. LOTS more to this story than is being mentioned by mainstream news.

Now the White House won’t allow Fauci to give testimony about what he knows or his role.

The swamp is infested with two-headed snakes. IMO

Success = invent disease + get patent on cure + get FDA approval.

Never did hear anything about the 1100 people with the Kung Flu they tested with Hydroxychloroquine that was to have started the last of March. So has anyone heard if the 1100 lived or died ?

To date, the total number of reported patients treated with HCQ, with or without zinc and the widely used antibiotic azithromycin, is 2,333, writes AAPS, in observational data from China, France, South Korea, Algeria, and the U.S. Of these, 2,137 or 91.6 percent improved clinically. There were 63 deaths, all but 11 in a single retrospective report from the Veterans Administration where the patients were severely ill.
