Been working on an order and a few extras to have on hand for fathers day! I don't get to knap as often as I'd like because of work and my kid, but when I do I'm happy with the results. Enjoy!

Beautiful work.
One of these days I'll dedicate time to getting better at knapping.
Blades like yours are an inspiration.

Very nice work I don't have the patience to do that . What's the price of one of your mahogany obsidian knives like the one in the second picture ?

Very nice work, be cool to make a blade out of an agate slice. If I only knew how to knap.

Thank you folks.

Allan Minear I charge based on the material, quality of the knapped piece, size of the blade, and handle (some are composite with antler and hardwood or exotic wood). Typically, $65-80 for the smaller knifes in pic 7-9, $90-110 for the blades in 5-6, $125 for blades 1-4 That blade in the 2nd pic was sold this morning.

Flipper, I've knapped agate and don't like it! that stuff is tough. I am not a fan of knapping obsidian because it is so sharp, but it sells the best.

Excellent flaking.....great job. Have you ever played around with heat treating to get into different materials? Thanks.

I heat treat a lot of Burlington, Kaolin, mill creek, Keokuk, and some flint ridge. The pic below is 4 types of Burlington, all heated. It makes it more colorful and easier to knap.

Pintail, the knives are real nice but the Snyder's are outstanding, I'm not crazy about knapping the obsidian myself but people sure like the glassy stuff. I,m sure missing all the local knappins that have been cancelled. Bob
