Little guy wanted to go turkey hunting with me Saturday morning, on our way to the blind we saw 1 cross the road in front of us and head into a field. Figured we'd see if he come in to us. Drove past the field, made our way into the woods and found a tree to sit under right off of a game trail. Called a couple times, heard him gobble back. Did a few clucks and sat there. Saw him moving through the trees at 25 yards. When he got to 20 yards I told my boy to cover his ears. Turkey puffed up and came right towards us. When he got to 15 yards I let him have it. Used a single shot 20 gauge with 3in heavy shot magnum blend. Turkey was 19lbs 7 1/2 in beard 3/4 in spurs.

Unfortunately she was behind me and holding still so she didn't get to see the bird in strut or the shot but she did see him walking in from a distance and got to hear him gobble up close and personal. I hope she never forgets it, I know I won't.
