Propane with a heat pump, you'll get the heat pump money back for sure and save on propane. Just researched it into exhaustion on my cabin in Ohio I built.

Hayday is exactly right. You don’t use the heat pump after it gets below a certain degrees(whatever’s comfortable for you). The thermostat has an outdoor sensor that tells it what the outdoor temperature is and automatically turns off the heat pump and turns on the propane furnace.

For those that burn off road diesel, I think now is the time to fill up.

I have a good used mobile home oil furnace I'd let go. I'll Probably use it in an out building.
