FTA/WTA Combined Convention

The Wisconsin Trappers Association (WTA) fall Convention is scheduled for
September 11-12 of this year. In response to the cancellation of the FTA National
Rendezvous this June, WTA has graciously offered to host a joint convention with the
FTA, September 10-12, at Marshfield, Wisconsin.
We will do our best to make sure that all of the meetings, events, demos and activities
that take place during a regular convention are completed during this joint convention.
There is a full contingent of dealers and tailgaters already signed up to attend, with
additional space being added to accommodate even more dealers. We have an impressive
list of accomplished trappers providing demos. The Trapperman Feed and Trapper
Hospitality events are always well received. Hosting a national convention is an honor
and privilege. The trappers of Wisconsin stand ready to do our part. This convention will
be one that you will want to attend.
Wisconsin has stepped up and gone above and beyond in an effort to help trapping
through these tough times, and even though things wont be the same as the old normal
we are forging ahead to make the best during these difficult circumstances. We are
hopeful that by September the virus will subside and many of the current restrictions will
be lifted. Obviously, no one can predict for sure if and when the Covid-19 restrictions
will be reduced, and when it will be safe to travel and gather. However, the FTA, with the
help of the WTA, will continue to move forward and adjust to the challenges as best we
can. If restrictions are still in September in Wisconsin, so be it; as we tried our best to
adjust. Stay tuned - as there are many more details to follow.

I figured it would get cancel. I have been checking the website every few weeks ot see. Thanks for posting.

A few pictures from last year in Virginia I know I was looking forward to this year and will miss getting to see all the FTA family.

That’s too bad, I also had been checking their website frequently. We try to go to the FTA or the NTA very year and make a family vacation out of it, one day at the convention and the rest of the time other things. Hopefully everything is better by next year

Bandy I was at Virginia last year A friend and I made a day trip to come see it .It was a good convention and we both enjoyed it very much . But not the trip there .I t was very windy going South on RT 81 and we nearly got caught in a chain reaction accident along with 3 other cars /trucks and a tractor trailer And we saw an accident and several near misses But you guys did a great job hosting the FTA .

It's not canceled It's going to be a joint convention along with Wisconsin's fall convention.

When is it?

The WTA convention is September 11-12, but there's nothing on the WTA or FTA website about a combined venture. But I guess Beav would know before anyone else.

Just taking Beav's word for it. If anyone knows, he would since his wife, Pam, is the convention lady for Wisconsin.

Of coarse this all depends on IF the WTA even has a fall convention. But so far It's a go.

That's great! With the surrounding conventions being cancelled, there was already a good chance WTA would have a higher attendance. Hoping for an even better turnout now.

The WTA convention is always a good one. The timing is just about perfect - the evening temperatures have a slight nip to them, makes trappers think about trapping.

We had a governing board meeting by tele conference the other evening, and voted to support the concept of having an integrated convention with Wi, as they graciously offered to do. We thought it better to have a reprsentation put forth than to have no chance of convention at all. Now if the gov will let it go ahead and happen!

You are going to need a bigger tent! That red one you used last year looked pretty small.

Will next year still be in Indiana or will it be in Kansas? A couple weeks ago we were told Indiana was going to hold it next year
