On the latest Fur Taker magazine!
JC Conner’s Jake Trap in a beautiful display case with a cool paw marking on the pan.
Guess this one might go collectible as the 2020 FTA meet has been changed from Charlestown, Ind. to a joint convention with the Wisconsin Trappers Association.

Here ya go. If y'all haven't joined the Fur Taker, you really should. They do great work for us trappers, plus this quality magazine comes out monthly.

Agreed. Everyone of us trappers should support all the trapping organizations we can. And I also enjoy reading the magazine cover to cover each month

Amen.
And just so you know if a tractor runs over a Jake trap it survives like no other. Definately top shelf.

Thanks, Paul! And, yep; That is Beautiful!

What's the story here then? Commemorative of something? Is that a one off? Or are they to be made commercially available? Just curious smile

Forgive my ignorance.

It was supposed to be an auction item for this years Fur Taker convention to be held in Charlestown, Indiana in June. However due to the virus state officials shut it down. The Wisconsin Trappers Assoc. agreed to allow the FTA convention to take along with their Fall convention.

I see. Thanks, MChewk.

Well, I'm sure that would / will be one heck of a popular item. Even I can recognise that the 'Jake' is an absolute modern classic.

Mike do you think they will still auction it off now that they have moved the convention

Not sure...that was original intent of the post as this particular trap just might be unusual ie valuable with the cancellation and then a change to the venue.

JC is a class act and set the standard for trapping equipment, not many like him left anymore. Wonderful family.
