It was also my first beaver caught in a leg hold/drowning rod set up. The LO road along to showed me the culvert they where plugging up. I hopped out of the truck and in less than 5 min had the set made. The LO responded "That's it?" and shook his head in disbelief as if I was supposed to perform some sort of voodoo dance right there in the middle of the road. Told him that'll have to do. Well, it worked!

boy is she thick. Must have had a whole troops of kits ready to go. Half a dozen that I won't have to deal with in the future!

Should have cut her open and checked to see how many fetuses were In her. The most I ever found were 10. And from what i was told no one had ever seen that many. 4 is more the normal number. Out of the ten 5 would not have been born alive.
