Found a reservoir where there is supposed to be some crappie near me and am going to give it a shot. I haven't fished for them in years. Weather had been low 80s for about a week then dropped to mid 60s last 2 days. Should be back to mid 70s by the weekend with a storm coming in on Sunday.
What type area would you start looking in ? water

Found some in 15" class...as long as my forearm. Fun fish! Jim
Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

Found some in 15" class...as long as my forearm. Fun fish! Jim Ive caught my fair share the past few years and havent broken the 12 inch mark. Either i suck or we dont have many around these parts. There is something about the way they bite that makes em fun though, even if the ones i find arent huge. Someday i wanna go to where i can get a 15-16 incher. Itll be mounted.

Saw your post and stopped on my way home. Twin dart rig, lift and drop slowly. Caught 2 small ones in a handful of casts. x2 My go to is vertical jigging but not overly fast next to structure until I find the right depth. After that I usually plan to fill a 5 gal bucket or hopefully 2.
Jimbo- are you trying to make us jealous 'cause that's how you make us jealous right there.
