Anyone have an idea on how many points they think it will take to draw a bobcat tag in the southern zone in Wisconsin this year?

Here you go, right from the DNR website. Based on this, I'd say probably 2 or 3.

Not sure where you got 8 from. Must've been a northern zone early season tag, and that surely wasnt the minimum number of points to draw, since some drew with as few as 4.

$6 application available once per license year. When you apply you can either choose to go into the drawing or just take the point. If you go into the drawing and don't draw (if you dont have enough points) you get a point anyway. So the number of points it takes equals the number of years if you apply every year.

So it could take a decade of applying and $60 worth of applications to draw a late season tag in the northern zone. And our cats aren't worth 1/4 what the western cats are.
