I wanted to share my little project with y'all, it was fun and a great keepsake of a memory. I used it for a new fedora but you could do it for any hat or tie clip or whatever. Some may remember "Catch's Christmas Give Away Extravaganza" lol. This was the shotgun shell that was in the box, the one I got my deer with last year.

I took a hacksaw and cut the top off of it, so just the Remington 20 Ga and primer was left.

Then I sanded it smooth and cleaned it a bit. Then I used this glue and glued a tie tack onto it.

It set up like hard glass and held really good.

Then I attached it to my hat. I really like it, it's a great memory and I think it looks cool lol. It could be cool to use your youngin's shell from their first deer or turkey or just a great day at the range. Anyway, hope ya like it.

Use them for conchos and you really would have shot gun chaps!

You were going to give someone your dirty old shotgun shell as a prize for Christmas?

Lol it’s the thought that counts I guess.

My chaps are cheekless so I'm not sure that would work. grin
