Has anyone ever run into a problem with the Z-trap DPs going off randomly? I noticed that the dog seems to slide out to the side from under the trigger. Anyone else ever had this issue? Any help/suggestions are very welcomed!

If there is a little mud/fish oil/etc. on the lever they can get a little touchy. No suggestion from me though.

Take a small flat file and bump the underside of the round peg that contacts the flat dog surface. Only need a couple swipes.

What swamp wolf said. I had this happen when they were brand new but a couple days in the field seemed to fix it with weathering making the peg a little coarser.

TurkeyTime- I thought about that too and cleaned them up really well. They were still doing it though. Good thought though and thank you for the suggestion.

Swamp Wolf- I haven't tried that yet. Sounds like a good idea! I'll try that out this week and let y'all know if that fixes it. Thank you!

Thanks for all the welcome messages! I'm excited to be able to learn from so many experienced trappers. I've only been trapping professionally for a few months and I still have a lot to learn.
