If doing something unusually strenuous, do you ever wear a kidney belt like this, or would you prefer more of a traditional style back support belt like the ones with the suspenders?

I have a couple of those braces but I would prefer someone else do the actual strenuous work !

Those always worked better for me instead of the ones with the suspenders.

Young people are sometimes good to have around.

Ive been wearing one for years now and rarely do any lifting without it. Cant fish for long without it. Would not consider chainsawing or weedwhacking without it. Always use when carrying heavy weight on my shoulders like hauling a treestand deep in woods.

I should also add that mine is a Hodgeman fishing belt. Originally bought when i was in my mid 20s and first started having issues. Found it had many more uses that just fishing.

I worked up the core strength to stand 12 or more hours a day

an exercise ball can speed up the strength training.

good muscle to hold your spine right can do much more than any belt. the belt is more a reminder to lift with your legs.

standing has been the best thing for my back , I have 4 full ruptures in my low back.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Yes. I cant say this enough. Get your hamstrings strong. They will help hold your back up and take stress away from lower back. But for me i can do all the strength training and stretching in the world, get readjusted every 4 weeks, but i still need the support belt to keep the low back fatigue pain down.
