Tee-heee! Tee-hee, AntiGov. Instead of giving an older couple credit for actually getting outdoors together, some folks on here decide to call them "Sheep" and/or make fun of THEIR choice to wear masks. Pathetic.
Moosetrot No, I call them sheep because they believe whatever they are told to believe.. There is a mountain of evidence, growing daily, that this virus is no more deadly than the flu, that masks actually increase your chances of getting the illness because you are touching your face more. That masks don't really work because they are not designed to filter virus sized particulates. Where the lockdown has been eased, their has not been a detectable spike. The death rates have been grossly inflated, nursing homes have been the hardest hit because of incompetent politicians. All of this and not one case that I have heard of stating that two people got it from walking down a dirt road in the wilderness. Yes, SHEEP! Yes, non-medical masks are not designed to filter particulates... they are used to impede spittle ejected from your mouth or nose, when you cough, sneeze or talk. And yes in areas the lockdown has been " eased". But there are still precautions being followed, like social distancing, routine cleaning, reducing the occupancy capacities, and... masks! It may be why there hasn't been any detectable spike. I wear a mask any time I may come in contact with others, it's out of concern and respect for other people and loved ones. Some may feel they have this whole virus figured out... they don't and neither do you!

I don't wear a mask because I see no reason to prolong what is inevitable. Don't think science has figured out how to kill a virus. Now if you want to wear a mask have at it, just don't try to force me to wear one to protect your backside from something we will all eventually catch.

I agree with Danny- if there is a really scary one like the plague 2.0 we will all have tuned out the little boy that cried wolf when he saw a coyote pup and we will die but the gazillions. Yall can wear masks anywhere any time you want I don't mind. This is my body and my health and I couldn't find the SOBs if I tried right now

So It sounds like most of you feel that the country should have taken no precautions and lived life like before the covid19 out break. I wonder how that would have worked Out.

Actually they are absolutely designed to filter particulates. They are not designed to filter microscopic things like a virus which can pass right through. They are meant to filter things like sawdust, sanding dust and other large particulates. By the way, I do have the entire thing figured out. It's a scam, a government power grab and the sheeple are to stupid to notice. There are very few people that this virus has been proven to be a danger to. People with pre existing medical conditions and the elderly. Other than that it's not a big deal for normal healthy people. 5 minutes of research and you can find that out. Get a clue and get a grip.

I don’t find it beyond the realm of possibility China designed a virus to eliminate the sick and elderly mainly, only.

This would be one of the sorry I asked moments. LOL Don't let it bother you. A lot of us on here know where you're coming from and don't feel it's that big of a deal. It's definitely been blown way out of proportion. Kinda reminds me of that old game we used to play called musical chairs.

People that wear mask are free to do so and I say rock on. People like me that don't are free to do so and I say rock on. We should be happy we have the freedom to choose, not berate those that choose differently.

The main issue with this virus for me is no-one knows what the long term effects are going to be from those who do get it.
A friend of mine and his wife are 2 of the 6 in Elk county that had it and finally came out of it after 2 weeks on a vent.
He actually went to get tested for the antibodies to see if he had already had it. He's extremely healthy. Never smoked, did any drugs, drank about the equivalent of a case of beer a year, no underlying issues. He had a suspicion he had been exposed at work back in February. He got the test. Came home and he and his wife were sitting down for dinner when she complained of feeling woosy. On a whim he took her temp and it was 103.5. Called the doctor and he said to give her motrin and check it every hour and see if it came down. Later that evening he looked over and she was listless, and laboring to breathe. He called the ambulance and followed them to the hospital. They wouldn't let him in. As he was walking back to his car he went down. They put him in a bed next to her, and tested them both. He woke up 14 days later with a machine breathing for him, and his wife was nowhere to be found. (She was 2 ICU beds away) They started turning the vent down and about 16 hours later pulled his tube, and he was breathing totally on his own. They pulled his wife's tube a day later. They both left the hospital 4 days after hers was pulled. Three weeks later and she is basically back to normal. He is still having trouble getting back to his normal self as far as his breathing goes.
They figured out who "patient zero" was for them. It was another person who had tested positive for it and refused to self-quarantine. But HiPPA laws prevent the medical professionals from disclosing that info to her and his wife's employer.
He told me it was so scary walking across the parking lot and knowing he was going down and there was nothing he could do about it. Thankfully for him they have people at the doors taking temps and asking questions because the hospital at that time was basically empty because everyone was afraid to go to it.
