Trump Claims He’s Experimenting With Hydroxychloroquine On Himself

President Donald Trump says he’s been taking hydroxychloroquine, the anti-malarial drug his administration has touted as a potential treatment for the coronavirus pandemic. The Food and Drug Administration has warned against its use in COVID-19 cases except in formal studies, citing serious heart risk.

My friend, a nurse, has been taking it for 8 years. Pretty sure the side-effects are already documented.

They talked about this today on talk radio. Seems some highly trusted doctors have found the hydroxychloroquine should be taken during the first stage of covid. It stops the replication of the virus. If the virus gets to the 2nd stage of covid, it's to late, you need some steroid. It seems to show promise, but the beurocrats are dragging their feet either beacaue they can get more money if they let it go to a more dangerous stage. The drugs are cheap and hospitals are not. It's either money or politics that is preventing doctors from administering the hydrox.

This drug is already out there, no money in that.

There is thousands taking it for arthritis and I have never saw in the papers it was killing people in vast amounts unlike some of their other arthritis medicine (vioxx). Also they said for all those taking it for lupus or arthritis to continue taking it. Seems if it was all that bad why let them continue taking it. I heard somewhere that maybe it was harder on people to take it after they had the virus. Thus the President is taking it before he gets it.

Back earlier a arthritis Dr on tv on news said none of his patients at that time that was on it had gotten the virus, wish there was some studies on that. About all I see is how many test they are taking and how many positives there is. Which mean nothing to me because the more they test the more there is, test less and there would be less. News said this morning that some test may be wrong esp. false negatives. I guess the truth is the daughter of time!

I've been testing myself for Covid every day. They say one of the symptoms is loss of taste and smell, so I pop open a Grain Belt Premium every so often throughout the day to make sure I'm still ok.

Been trying to self-test sense of taste and smell on a daily basis for some time now by utilizing flatus events. I have determined that I either have the virus, or mine, indeed, do not stink, as I have always asserted...

I don't want to know how you test taste with this method.

I just let one fly....and everyone in the house is complaining and that I should live outside....guess they are Covid free...

My co-worker at the tech college we taught at has been taking this drug for 30 plus years ever since her lupus diagnosis. She has always had a ton of side effects but she is on a huge battery of medications so it is difficult to state which ones are specifically caused by a single drug. Right after the first mention of this product there was a huge run on this drug and her and others (my sister-in-law) takes this for arthritis as well were concerned about availability and or price rises. That subsided but we will see what happens now that this has become an issue again.

A lady I work with has been taking it for a decade or so for her lupus. She ain't died yet from it or had any side effects from it.
