I have had some beat up boxes but this was the worst. I think if it were out for another day of delivery, those traps would be gone. The pictures don't do it justice.

Those traps must be coon magnets, looks like a family of them went to town on the box trying to get at them!

That's that cheap recycled cardboard from S. Korea.

That looks more like a product of too much weight for the strength of the box to me. Just because that many traps fit in the box does not mean it is a good idea to put that many in it. Does not appear to be any cushioning material between the traps and the cardboard.

Blame it on rough handling if you want to but it sure looks more like a issue with the way it was packed to me.

Strapping tape would of helped a lot.

If you look at the side of the box in the first picture, it says “Priority Mail”. Might have been a post office flatbrate box to begin with. Those boxes are not the strongest. That is why extra trap - duct or strapping - is always a good idea.

In addition to top and bottom, I always go around the side of the box, just to be sure the contents stay inside. LOL

I always keep a few used boxes. I'll cut them down to line the inside of the flat rate boxes I normally use when I ship something that's on the heavier side. Plus I like to use extra tape.

The mail carrier is supposed to take it to the resort clerk and get it taped up and stamped received in damaged condition.

The USPS is amazing. I had a package recently ship through Harrisburg Pa and go to Roanoke Va, then to Charlotte NC, then back to Roanoke Va before going to my local post office. Not the first item that has done the Roanoke to Charlotte back to Roanoke trip. Yesterday I ordered a bridle bit from a place in Madera Ca (SE of San Fran). It is now in Wasilla Alaska. So my package has already flown further than necessary to get to a postal facility near me, but in the opposite direction. I guess it will get here eventually.

All I can say is wow.
I just got a box of traps this week shipped to me from a t-man member, and he did an awesome job of literally wrapping the entire box in strapping tape. Everything arrived perfectly including the box.
Well, at least you were not missing any when they arrived!
