Well about a month ago I was grilled over saying that covid couldn't survive on a hard surface for very long despite what the news was reporting.. I was asked where I got my Dr degree? Then was told that the "experts" knew more than anyone. WELL WELL I guess my sewer plant classes were correct after all when they told us ALL bacteria and viruses can't exist long on a hard "dry " surface. THE GREAT CDC announced yesterday that the covid bug is still present after 1-3 days on some pourous surfaces, but it is basically the residue and can not infect anyone. I refrained from saying live on surface as one gentleman will pounce saying viruses aren't alive. BUT the CDC press release says can't live. Seems all the wiping and disinfecting surfaces after they hadn't been used for days is a waste of time and money. Not to mention the exposure to all these chemicals to the workers will KILL people down the road.
LOL
Yep and will make more work for you trying to sort all that disinfect back out the water..Don't be dumping that stuff in my river LOL! See they got the UV doing the hard surfaces in subways now in some places.. Interesting how slow we re-learn something that been around. Mac

I’m sure some nose picking joker touching a door handle right after that will still pass it on in some cases but yes it’s not what they thought it might of been just weeks ago.

Yep , the " experts " keep changing the rules of the game ...............the sheeple keep up though , so no worries ........ Aint that the truth. For every "expert" that says X about COVID, there is at least one expert who will say X is wrong and that Y is the truth. I can't keep up. One of the problems with the information age is that there is no filter; no safeguards about accuracy of information. EVERYONE is an expert. The guy doing the 6:00 o'clock weather is an expert on COVID for crying out loud. So I've just decided to go about my business as usual. Yes, I might be in complete denial but here I am, no mask, willing to shake hands with folks, breathing fresh air and living my life. I refuse to simply exist.

How many guys on here wear gloves when they are skinning? I do. Keeps my hands cleaner, they don't smell like the south end of a north bound coyote all day, I don't have to dig crud out from under my fingernails for two days, I usually skin in the field and even latex gloves hold some heat in so they keep my hands a tad warmer, AND there are a bunch of nasty ailments carried around by critters that I don't want to catch, or take home to my pets.

Well I know one thing, in a time when my co workers are usually hacking and sneezing from other ailments, almost nobody around is sick anymore. So one positive to all this anti bacterial stuff going on. Calvin do you remember (if your old enough) when we didn't have hand sanitizer around our necks. No one was afraid to eat peanuts. Kids allergies didn't exist in every house hold. Because we have disinfected ourselves to the point we have no immune systems is why lots of people are sick. Yes a new bug like covid will flatten the population but run of the mill illnesses hardly ever took down whole communities. When I was in school 70-80's we never closed because of flu out breaks or hardly ever had kids out.

When I was in school 70-80's we never closed because of flu out breaks or hardly ever had kids out. and, society as a whole took pride in toughing it out...we weren't ALLOWED to stay home from school, unless we were actively puking our guts out or were likely to crap our pants with diarrhea.
