My favorite fish to eat all time. Spent a couple of summers in Alaska and got hooked on that fish. Too rich for my blood now. Great catch

Were those caught in the Atlantic? If so I didn't know they were there. I thought they were a Pacific fish.

You’re living the dream. Nothing like halibut.

I fished for them all three times I hunted in Alaska. They are the best tasting fish to be had. When you get into them thick, your line never makes it to the bottom without a halibut taking it. Sometimes I’d use a big lure with a treble hook on each end. More than once, I’d hook up two fish at once. A couple hours of halibut fishing will wear you out when you get find them. The ten pounders were the best eating.

Fishing for them with rod and reel sounds like lots of fun.
