Any other trappers in Michigan affected by flood waters? We are in the flood waters of Au Gres River I think others folks got it worst with Dams breaking around Midland area. Was able to save most Lenon Lure inventory and other valuable equipment by putting everything in the Barn loft. I thought I was going to loose the wife when she was saving the chickens. Finally got back on property today to figure out the extent of damage. Probably a few tons of corn stalks and debre to remove. Had just put in a huge garden before the flood. i complain every year when I pay flood insurance but so glad I keep it now.

Here is a video of our neighborhood bad bad water - Muskrat will thrive this year

We got our situation under control but if any other trappers in Arenac County need a hand let me know.

A few pics from yard. The one is the deer fleeing the flooded river. Probably saw 50 that day while getting out of dodge.

That's a lot of water John, good to know you and your family are okay. Thanks for posting.

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

Glad you are all safe, lots of water here in Northern Indiana too, the pier at our lake place is a foot under water and it's still coming up and more storms forecast for this week. Nothing like what you are dealing with, anyway, glad you have insurance and are all safe.

I'll be taking a break and going bass fishing early in the morning. I'll post a pic if we catch any. We can social distance and take all the grand kids as groups of 10 ok now in Michigan. Plenty of water to choose from. Very weird year - wish everyone a great Memorial Weekend.

We know what that's like John. Our flooding is usually post hurricane events. There sure is a scramble when that water is getting higher and higher.

Good to see y'all are okay though. Good luck fishing!

John, I live in a town called Skidway lake not too far from you. I rain gauge showed 8 inches in 24 hours. Many roads culvert and bridges are gone. I live on Feedinggrounds lake just 1/4mile east of Skidway, the lake rose 18 inches and was 6 foot from my house. I filled and bermed several years ago due to another spring rain with a debris plugged road culvert. Now I know where to add to the berm for sure, and have already started. Glad you are ok and saved my go to trapping lure.

Wow, best of luck cleaning up, hope the damage wasn't too bad. I'm a couple hours north and west, we got the rain but no floods. One upshot of our sandy sandy soil.
