The old doe has been producing twins and triplets for several years now. She has her own little herd established now.

Her young have survived the coyote attacks so far. Many of our fawns here don't make it. The dogs will occasionally bring in small fawn legs that they find in the lawn near the house to toy with. The coyotes don't eat them generally from what I have seen. They may take some back to the den for the pups to play with I am sure at times.

Been getting several coyotes on the several trail cams set out around our property and on trails. That big old doe hasn't been seen for about a week now so that must mean she has given birth or something has happened to her.

Two yearling bucks just starting to see the forks developing in velvet and the other triplet is a young doe.

They won't put on too much weight by fall but we have some two year old I will have my eye on that I see occasionally. Should be good and fat with all the beans and corn within a mile from here.

They're starting to look like their dad.

Life sure is tough when you don't learn from the mistakes of others.
