Crawler harnesses with spinners behind a bottom bouncer sinker or trolling crankbaits. Baited jigs/lead heads with minnows and look for structure. Rocky/gravel bottoms are a place to start and start in shallow water and move out till you find the right depth.

Yep, water will be in that range. I would beleive you will do well but then there are days it can be tough fishing. Look for good structure and find the depth they are in and yo will do fine. Start shallow 4 to 8 feet of water and work from there.
I had an uncle that helped build that dam.

I'm not familiar with the area of Rock Creek on Fort Peck Lake but I've fished out of Crooked Creek often . The above suggestions are good I'd add some lead core line and dragging crank baits . I also like lite 6 lb braid line with lite jigs and fishing even shallower I like casting jigs onto the shore and work them back to the boat, vertical jigging works at times too .
As for Fort Peck there's 1,850 miles of shore line and it's over 150 miles long . When I was a kid we went to a celebration at the dredge cuts where they even dropped bowling balls from a helicopter trying to knock over the bowling pins long down the spill way then after cleaning up that mess they opened up all the gates turning loose a huge wall of water it was quite a sight to see I'm glad I had the chance to see it even if I ended up getting sun burned and looked like a boiled lobster ha ha !
