Bought this Old Town 14' canoe today for $200. Its a 2010 model...all polyethylene(plastic) construction. Some scratches from use but no hull compromise. I had been looking for one like this with molded seats and console for beaver work and low river fishing.

Couldn't find much internet info on one that looked like this even on Old Town's website.

Good deal or not? Either way its mine now.

Btw...it paddles and guides easily with just me in it. Way better than a 10' flat bottom jon.

Looks pretty sweet to me. Even that drab color that would work for duck hunting.

Ran into local guy that was going fishing in local river yesterday. He says he was going to sell it because it would not fit into back of his Tacoma. I took a look at it and told him to bring it by today and I had been looking for one like it.. Still has river sand in it where he was fishing out of it yesterday...

Yes, that's a really good deal! I just sold an Old Town Saranac XT 146 for $400... it was $699 new.

Gonna make one of those milk crate fishing gear containers with rod holders on side and a cutting board on the bottom for cleaning fish on the river.

There will also be beaver blood in it next winter.

Nothing like trapping out of a canoe....A Quachita 15 ft aluminum canoe was my first .

No leaks. Paddled it around my pond for about 30 min today. More stable than I thought it would be.

I do some pay beaver work and cant get to some of em without a vessel. Been using a 10' aluminum jon boat, but its noisy and heavier.

Oh yeah, It will be a big improvement over the 10 ft jon...I love the wildlife sightings from a canoe too.
Quiet and stealthy, just amazing how much ground you can cover in one also.

I was at an estate sale Friday and they had a 17? foot 1965 Grumman? canoe for 150.00. I had they money but declined.

I bought an Old Town one man 12ft canoe a few weeks ago for $350 off a guy. I think they go for about $700 new. I bought mine with the intentions of getting to some untapped beaver areas.
