Hunting has slowed down since I started trapping.....
When life gets me down..... you know hunting/trapping season is closed.

Didnt know there was a difference.Always did both together.Never pass up meat for the pot when trapping.I almost never shoot fur as I know I can trap it.
Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

I start deer hunting at the end of August, then stop deer on Oct. 16th to trap fox and wolves for a week or so, then deer hunt until early December, then start trapping again till middle of March.
Cold as ice!

Trapping. I've been in a funk the past several seasons, but when I get the trapping bug, it's all trapping. I used to live for hunting, until I started catching stuff in my traps, then hunting was only something to do if I was bored. I still enjoy hunting squirrels several times a year, and if we had pheasants here I would definitely make time to hunt them. I'll shoot a deer if the freezer needs one, but I kind of consider it more of a chore, lol. Following a coon hound is great fun a few times a year.
