Depends on the year, markets, my freezer and The Boy. He started hunting last year and so that'll probably push me in that direction this year but that may change as he has been more involved in the trapping side too this spring.
Life sure is tough when you don't learn from the mistakes of others.

Technically, I'm hunting the whole time I'm trapping, but not trapping the whole time I'm hunting,,, so I am hunting more of the time. Yup, and since most of our trapping season is during the winter time I’d say most of the fall I’m hunting.

Fall I'm preparing for December and January trapping. I do like bird hunting and fall fishing is fun too. Jim
Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

Trapping, haven't gone hunting in over 50 years.

I got myself a seniors' GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.

More motivated at this time to bow hunt deer and less motivated to set traps.. But once the traps start hitting the ground it's a tough train to turn..
$70 red fox also are way easier to trap than $5... Amen to that.

One of the beautiful things about So Texas is that I can hunt, fish, trap, and date lil hotties from Match and Farmers Only every day of the year. Not just one or 2 seasons.
There are no closed seasons and you can't make me chose a favorite.
