So it looks like I am going to have some time on my hands this fall to try to trap coyotes- Ive never been that good at it in the past. The traps I have are MB 550 regular jaws- question is can I simply just boil these traps in logwood dye and hang them up and use them that way this fall. Im a bear guide, trap a lot of coon off of my baits as they are a total nuisance, but are easily caught with the dp traps. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Joe

The only problem you'll possibly have is if ya use salt or other caustics for anti freezing dirt. Then you'll need to wax after the logwood to protect the steel.

Common sense catches alot of fur..
Pay homage to all you harvest..

I boil to get grease off and dip in full metal jacket and use. Can do Longwood dye after a season or 2 when they rust
