I normally soak in salt water then blanch for a minute and fry with garlic and butter...
.what you all do??
Git my first batch today but will be a lot better a couple days from now.

Around here they are totally covered in brown fuzzy stuff. As in, most look like a little chickens head and neck
Is there a way to get that stuff off easily, or do you not worry about it? Dont think you are seeing the right type of fern Hutchy. Google ostrich fern Edit: lol spell check changed your name to something not nice...lol

I just rinse mine 2 times in cold water then steam for 15 minutes and serve with butter and vinegar. No Bitterness at all. Just yummy tender goodness.

Boco were from America. We eat (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) from the woods and blow up Countries that don't like us. If ya don't believe me ask Japan. Best wishes my Canadian neighbor
