Been tinkering with some #3s for my son, this is just a prototype, hope this helps some of you if you want to go dogless. P.S. there is a method to the dogless madness, if interested give me a shout! It's even nightlatched! Yukon John, Very crafty. What material in the pan made of and what's thickness? The shot of that spring reminds me of the old Blake & Lamb springs. REALLY strong and long lasting. Great job! Muskrat Love

The pan looks to be made from a 4 square electrical box cover. What is intended use of the trap? Lot of.people going with big pans. I prefer a smaller pan so the animal is in the center of trap when it fires. Preference I guess.
Wish I had more time to trap....

I can cut it down if needed, was just working on trying to get it to work, then I can fine tune. These old vics have floppy pans, and this baby is rock solid! This one is my young son's he has trouble manipulating the pan and dog with one hand, just trying to make it easier for him.

Cutoff wheel on a grinder. I welded little ears on the frame and the dog stand. This particular one was alot of eyeballing, I'd like to make a pattern, and do a couple more to make it a little more systematic.
