The gestation for an opossum is 12-13 days.

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

Actually a cottontail rabbits gestation period is about twice that long.

marsupial , they only have to get them to half way then they move to the pouch to finish. this way they can start a new batch sooner.

but yeah they are multipliers for sure

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I believe buzzards would be on the endangered list if it wasn’t for possums.

Birth is much easier for marsupials and the young simply attach to a teat in the brood pouch and develop further there as opposed to within the mother. Has no real affect on reproductive rates or time period to maturation.
