Crops are getting a nice start here in east central Alberta. I would guess about 90% of the seeding is done. And crops would include wheat, barley, canola, lentils, faba beans. A few cattle guys grow a bit of silage corn. Sorry, pics aren't the greatest, very overcast here today.

My corn price is $4.11 per bushel. $0.85 basis. What's yours, Bushmaster?

No run, not corn. Likely wheat. Its not our field so I'm not sure. And I'm the lowest flunkie on the farm so I don't know prices...especially corn

The guy I work for doesn't have cattle so have never grown corn..

This year my guys seeded faba beans, lentils, wheat, and canola.

I don't actively trap anymore...health issues! And when I did, it was closer to home.

Wheat is real close to cutting here, I don't know of any canola locally this year but it would also be ready here if there is any.

We'll start planting wheat here in mid Sept, some rye for pasture will be planted the last of August first of Sept. There is some sesame being planted now as well as forage sorghum grain sorghum is usually planted the last of April into early May for an August/Sept harvest and mid June early July for a fall harvest, The sugar cane aphid has hurt us for late sorghum production and is a threat for early crops also, they tend to show up here in August.

We finally got a little hay in this week and more cut today. Almost all the beans and corn are planted and looking good, except for a few fields that got flooded.
