I don't remember the brand, but it Florida, where they have large Eastern Diamond Backs, Cotton Mouth, and Copper Heads... we outfitted our survey and other field crews with knee high snake proof Chaps. In my time there I only know of one incident and that when a 4 foot rattler, hit one of the crews leg on the calf of his leg. It broke one fang off, but didn't penetrate the chap. This might have been what we bought... https://www.sportsmansguide.com/pro...msclkid=a8761c1f33b21c27204e42cce72fbbadGarry-

I have pair of mining boots that I would trust in snake country but they are to hot on the hot days. Been in snake country often never been bit yet. They make plastic guards that might be cooler maybe that’s what you guys are calling chaps.
Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!
