i have an old one. Was my grandmas. Quality all the way. Bought a new gauge for it a few weeks ago. The one I have is older than me. The only way to fly for canning roots like carrots or potato's and meat or fish. Can pressure at 15 pounds. Hot enough to kill botulism spores. I still cook home canned meat and roots before eating to further reduce the risk but its much safer than the ten pounds most canners are limited to.

Remove the pressure gauge and add tubing for a worm, remove the pressure relief add a thermometer, and bingo.
