Red foxes kill fawns regularly, just find your self a fox den with pups, fawn heads and legs are used as toys after eating fawn..... Seen that as well over the years, and while a fox might not be a threat to a full grown and healthy deer fawns are definitely on the pray list until they get big enough, and a fix can take a lot larger pray then most people believe though there preferred pray is small game. 2 years ago a doe dropped her fawn in the wooded strip between my house and the neighbors, about 5/6 days after that I watched a pair of reds come and take it the fawn never even made a sound it was over so fast

I've seen it. Probably five years ago or better, when I was bowhunting in November, I watched two reds chase a fawn around for 20 minutes after they separated it from its mother. They finally got it down and both of them were on it. It kept struggling and got away with them still chasing and biting. Found it the next day about 200 yards from where I watched them partially cached with leaves with the hind quarters eaten from it. Called a friend who's a biologist and wildlife manager with DNR. Said he'd never seen it before. If I remember it was a really dry year so maybe other food sources were pretty scarce. Naked and afraid , will eat anything!

Nope. I seriously doubt a tan pound red or grey poses much threat to a deer. Fox here run about 12 -15 # and bigger are not uncommon
