I'm working in West TN and found this while puffing the morning cigar. What eats something so tiny and does it so efficiently then leaves the head?

I am guessing weasel family but IDK much about them. Any ideas?

Probably just bit off and spat out by Ozzy Ozbourne.

I don't know about TN, but, If I saw that in my backyard; it would be an owl

Yall have different owls than I do. My owls eat the whole thing and then cough up a hair / bone ball later. It like a turd but its only the not yet digested stuff.

Can an owl actually bite a body off of a head? I gotta admit I am stumped. Maybe yall are right. IDT they have Chupacabra's here LOL

Owls choke down mice etc. whole. Now, a pack of hungry killer shrews might of had a hand in it.

An owl with chicks. They pluck the pray apart to feed the little ones. Some hawks do the same thing.

Any carnivore I've ever seen usually starts with the head seems like.
