You have the seed they love most-thistle. Wish they are in this area. Too heavily wooded for what they like.

They always sound like they are asking..."can you seeeeeeeeee????" grin

I've had a few at my bird feeder here they're a wonderful little bundle of energy as are the house wrens .

Play with the location of the feeder. I found the finches here like the feeder a bit more out in the open than the other bird feeders.

I have also noticed a marked decline in finch activity at the feeders in the last couple weeks. Maybe more natural food sources?

When they were migrating back this spring I had over 60 in my yard at one time, I’ll see if I can find the pictures

I was feeding as many as 20 at a time ( with four feeders) at camp last years. A bear carried off all four feeders. I hung 2 new ones this spring, no bear yet, maybe a dozen goldfinches at one time. Also get a few house finches at the niger seed.

I do have house finches here too plus a host of other birds, Orioles, and those pesky Starlings, I shoot them with the pellet gun, they tend to hog up all the suet blocks
