One complaint per year of employment . Cops have to deal with the bottom 5% of society ( mostly scum bags ). I'm sure complaints are common from cop haters.

This cop pushed it too far but prolly wasnt out of the ordinary for him. I doubt he set out to kill someone that day

He should be punished but imo there were many other factors in this death.

He will likely be encouraged to commit suicide in prison-then everyone will be appeased for a short time.Until the next time.

I'll quickly address the question about officers going their entire careers without a complaint: There are officers that get hired and quickly realize that the job is not for them (at least on the street). These officers quickly find "hiding places" within the department, rarely (if ever) needing to put on the uniform... Much less work on the street at night from sundown to sun up for a couple decades. And with any job (it seems) these officers are far more likely to get promoted and make policies on how police work should be done (without any actual experience).

Don't forget the methamphetamines', too.

you've obviously never worked for a municipality...people complain about everything. they piled snow around my car... you knew it was gonna snow for a week stupid. ever see a 20" water main blow up in somebodys yard? then they complain when I roll up in a backhoe to dig it up for repair.. ok stupid ill leave the Missouri river running through your front yard. you drove 50 miles an hour down my street... no sir according to the GPS I went own your street at 11:30 am and was traveling 27 MPH on a 30MPH street... it never ends. and I saw a list of those complaints, most were dismissed without reprimand.

I don't think Floyd deserved to die, but he was a career criminal and a burden on society, good riddance...

Because it does not matter. No missing video is going to suddenly make it ok to kneel on the dude's neck until he passes out and dies.

A point was made to me a few days ago that with all the war on cops that has gone on for about a decade now NO ONE wants the low paying dangerous thankless job! Who in their right mind would? Thus police dept's everywhere are hiring what they can get! And now with mayor's and city council's attacking them your going to have even fewer with any sense wearing a badge! Basically the BLM bunch are ensuring the problem they claim to be attempting to solve only gets worse as we move forward.

Well, I read what has been publically released about the four officers involved in the Floyd incident. The three less involved were all recent or fairly recent hires and all of them had what appear to be outstanding backgrounds and credentials. Surprised me how old several were to be just entering police work. I would be very happy to be able to find people with those resumes to hire for about any job. I do agree with several who have posted here that it may get MUCH more difficult to find quality folks in the future. These people ARE the thin blue line who stand between us and anarchy.

That is a question which only the Democrats who run that City can answer.
