Anybody have one? I went to a couple gun shops this week looking another AR, and of course they were sold out.
Saw the ruger on the wall and impulse got me. I was wondering what type of scope yall would recommend for it. Thanks

So I take it that Ruger has improved their barrel quality. In years past it wasnt untypical for them to shoot all over the place.

My son bought one in 6mm creedmore. It is a tack driver but is heavy. 16 lbs with bipod and red dot on it. He has a Vortex Viper scope on it. 2 years ago he nailed a coyote at 334 yards off hand.

When it comes to scopes, a top of the line scope is about always cheaper in the long run. Will last a lifetime. Your grandkids will use them.

Need to know the chambering you were considering for more definitive input

Isn’t there one for sale on North Carolina hunt and fish site or the Carolina firearms forum?

Nightforce SHV I have 2 and dont regret it at all. I would say go for the illuminated reticle, the fine reticle gets hard to see about the time the deer come out.

The SHV series is affordable and has the same glass as the NXS scopes just simplified turret controls. Great reticle with the MOAR. its MOA over MOA adjustments. I also have an older Kahles scope 3-12x56 and the glass on the NF is maybe just a touch clearer probably from the newer coatings available. The scope is great IMO for hunting and long range shooting equally. It is a bit heavy but its a nightforce.
