Looting seems to be more of a team sport . Having said that

Liberal mayors and governors see looting by Black Lives Matters Supporters as the looters justly punishing society for treating them poorly. They are taking their 40 acres and a mule. Plus they don't want to alienate the wild hordes of demented criminals who vote democrat.

Political expediency, plus the practicality that you couldn't stop mass looters without killing some of them, which would be a PR disaster and be shown all over the world.

A lot of people feel that they have the right to loot and burn stuff that was built by them for free thru slavery.

A lot of other people think that a pr nightmare is worth it to stop rioting. Anger I get. Destroying what someone has built and earned, someone who had nothing to do with a cops egregious behavior, I dont get.

I don't understand why the business owners are not making more of an issue of being abandoned by the police (on the orders of the mayors). Businesses pay taxes for government services that are not being supplied. That's outright theft.

Well some cities have instituted policies where they wont prosecute thefts of amounts under $1000 at most so....

You probably saw evidence of that in Canadian history books looking at pictures of rows of black slaves sitting in dark rooms with their charcoal powered soldering irons sweating away building PlayStations and flat screen TV's.

Maybe the news doesn't air it. Also, these same businesses didn't put up much of a fight when they were shut down by a a virus either.
