Just got back home from 4 days spent in beautiful northwest Montana at a trapping get-together that was put on at my friend's property, since the Western and the MTA had to cancel due to the nonsense going on. Seriously one of the best 4 days I've had and there were some big name trappers there with lots and lots of good info. I learned a lot and there was almost too much info to take in. I started the demos off on Saturday with a coon and mink demo and was followed up by some very, very good trappers on coyotes, cats and wolves. The food was amazing with a crawdad feed, fish fry, midwestern steaks grilled and some homemade appetizers that were absolutely killer. Some sort of meat wrapped around cream cheese stuffed jalapenos. There were trappers there from WA, OR, ID, MT, WY, WI, VA and probably some more states that I'm not thinking of. The demos were taken seriously as was the partying at night. There were 16 dogs there, all running around loose and not one dog fight either, which was absolutely amazing. I had my two bird dogs with me and most dogs were either hounds or cattle dogs. And today I finished it off by going and fishing for northerns with a couple new friends I met there. What a time.

Thank you I wish I would have gotten more pics but was having too much fun. I don't really care for people too much, except when it comes to trappers and us like-minded folks.

Likewise Allan. Great to meet face to face. We'll have to find more time to sit down over a fire and iced tea (sweet of course) and shoot the breeze some more.

Looks like a lot of fun. Is that a Harris wolf trap? No that one in the picture is a Gotcha Wolf Trap made by Charlie Fite. One heckuva trap.

Eric, looks like a great time. Nice pics. That Gotcha trap looks incredible. Bobwhites are thick down here. I’ll be head north for some sharpies soon. Boys and I can’t wait.

It was a LOT of fun. Great to hang around some good trappers.
