The guy on the show says, “Show me your hands or I’ll blow your head off.”

Is there data that shows that statement is more effective than just show me your hands?

Does the department believe this to be a positive thing to be viewed since they are bringing a camera crew with them?

The other officers didn’t seem to follow that lead so I’m also curious what they think of the guy that will blow someone’s head off if he doesn’t see some hands?

You could read them the legal statute if you think that would help but you will find saying things to break their train of thought helps break the train of negative thinking. The best approach is to remind them how their decisions will hurt them one way or another as that Is all they really car about often.
