No truck better than a ford truck,

You guys must not use much salt in your roads. My '99 ford and everyone like it around here has rusted out rockers.

Is it too much to ask for a simple 8ft bed truck without buying something with 200k miles on it?

I was worried about cab size before I bought a Tacoma. Well I am not a midget by any stretch and I have alot of room in the cab. This is a SR access cab. I drive the truck with the drivers seat about 2/3 back.

Small truck I'd say no better.
Full size 1/2 ton...I just bought a 2017 Nissan Titan XD. 5.6L gas. The XD version has a heavier frame than the standard Titan, better suspension, on demand rear locking differential. Mileage rated at 16-21 combined. 7 speed automatic. It rides great and is quiet inside when driving down the road. 390hp.
Tundra's are good, except they have a couple issues that I didn't want to potentially deal with.
Try some test drives.
