According to another post fur is still popular in the hood. I hate to be another negative Nathan but my prediction is it ain’t gonna be that great for a while... Since I’ve started trapping the market has been poop. I’ve made most of my money in crafts. Lots of extra work but can pay off. Since I’ve been up here I’ve traded some fur with a native man who makes mitts, bags and the like. Mostly trades with him. He was ecstatic about some nutria from Oregon my cousin had tanned, he had never seen one. Made some cool bags, like with the face as the flap.

According to another post fur is still popular in the hood. You mean in the parts of the hood that ain't burned down yet...
Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

Oil is low. China is mad. US in recession, Corona virus concerns, millions unemployed, Fashion turning it's back on fur....
No doubt it is going to be bad.

Ranch mink have never been this bad in all it’s history. Prices keep going lower. Sales percentages are terrible. I think this trickles into wild fur too. I would easily say the golden coyotes are worth no more than half of what they were.
Economies are reeling from covid. Fur is the last thing on the consumer mind.
I was optimistic just a year ago but no more. In fact I am very pessimistic about all types of fur now.

The last fur Auction house follows the other two into bankruptcy. Spent a lot of money collecting that worthless fur trappers produced. Oops!

What everyone predictions. ? Hear lot negativity, no trim markets left The only value fur will have this fall & winter will be it's BTU heat value in stoking a fire. If you are counting on making money this coming season by fur trapping then, You are screwed, coonman !!! BOHICA !!!!!!

In Canada, natives use rabbit fur to weave into blankets to keep from freezing to death. Maybe fur will become something we can use ourselves instead of selling. I've sold a lot of stuff for cheap, but still have my traps for some reason. I think it may pay off some day.
Life ain't supposed to be easy.
