We have a big lawn and my mother-in-law has a large lawn across the road from us. When I retired I would mow both lawns each week. Now that my wife has retired she mows her mothers side and I mow our side.

wife mowed 5 hrs yesterday on her day off and says she loved every minute.

In 36 yrs of marriage,mine never once mowed or did chores. On the other hand I don't think I rarely washed dishes.

I’m getting stick blind. And kid toy blind. Dead bird blind. Anymore it’s gotta be yuge for me not to mow over it.

Not much the wife won’t mow here but she is getting better, in the past she would drive head on into any weeds before checking for objects she broke a cast hub on a deck before. Then I got her to stop moving the gravel crossing the driveway she would not turn the blades off saying it’s not that far.

My wife liked to mow and for a lot of years she mowed every time through the year, except for a couple of times. She will now once in a while but not that often. It is all push mowing for us and no self propelled mower.

The push mower is good exercise for us as well.

I do all of mine. My wife is more than willing but after 40+ years of marriage she still has not grasped the concept of overlapping the cut so we don't have a series of mohawks in the lawn. I you're going to do it do it right.

My wife mows our lawn. She knows that if she doesn't I won't do it when she thinks it needs it.
Shes a bit of a lawn freak, me, I couldn't care less about lawns.

Our lawn is small, less than 1/8 acre, our house sits in a 3 acre field that we planted in prairie grasses and forbs. If it was solely up to me we wouldn't have any lawn to mow.

Lawns are one of the biggest wastes of land there is.
