It appears the Minneapolis City Council doesn’t know even though they voted to abolish their police department and replace it with their version of it. The council said they will have hearings and will be developing a plan as time goes on. What do you think this version will entail? One idea I heard was to send in social workers for domestic violence calls to 911 and mental health threats. No social worker in their right mind would go into these volatile situations. Who will back up the community resource people when things go sour? Who will answer calls concerning home invasions, armed robberies, mass shootings in process, etc.?
