For anyone in the survivalist/prepper mindset, I don't see a thing wrong with having way too much snare cable, locks, ferrules. It's cheap.

Life ain't supposed to be easy.

Yotes still need killin. I’ll just do it at my pace and maybe charge to trap some areas.

I'm itchin' to see a coyote twitchin'.

More trappin' and less yappin'.

Yup, the irony of it all. We now have the big tax cuts to save money and we have to struggle to show a profit.

I will do my ADC jobs and make some money. I will catch some coyotes because I like doing It.
But The fun part of trapping gets pretty lame when It's costing you money and you will soon run out of the fun part.

Ive been checking out some counties in eastern iowa after these last couple rains. Looks like some easy country up above Dubuque. A guy could mop up with the nice coon around that area

I'm trapping more this season for many reasons.
Crafters and taxidermist. And now with my ADC lic I can charge for services I normally do for free.
And I just can't help myself, I'm addicted to fur.

I guess the rest of the country will go the way we did in the south, furbearer's are relegated to pest level, a nice bobcat, red fox, etc. is nothing more now than a gopher rat. Land owners buying traps and killing it all just to pitch in a ditch. More fur hits the ditch down here than will ever hit the fur market, sad times.

Fur will be a very important commodity in colder parts of the country once the collapse of civilization takes place.Right up there with food.

I bet you will find that fur prices were good during the 1979 to 1982 recession and during the great depression if you look in the bible.

I don't understand this statement. You have a Bible that talks about what happened in 1979?
Mine don't go up near that far.

Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

It's not going to be good. And I feel bad about that. But I sure find it really hard to feel bad for all the fur ranchers going out and going to go out of business

You mean the 8 finished coon skins I have hanging in my more climate controlled basement utility room should have stayed out in the garage for the humidity, heat, and mealy worms to have their way...??? Say its not so!!
